Black Sesame Paste

One of my favourite desserts is black sesame paste and after trying different brands of instant black sesame paste, i discovered that Soyspring brand is the best.

Each packet contains 7 satchets of black sesame paste mix which contains these ingredients:
1. Cane Sugar
2. Black Sesame
3. Rice
4. Black Rice
5. Starch
6. Walnut

The black sesame paste prepared using this brand is smooth, thick and fragrant.

You may like to visit Jas's Kitchen to learn how to prepare black sesame paste yourself. If you like cupcakes, you may also be interested to learn how to make black sesame steamed cupcakes for dessert.

Carver, Kimber, sweetytots & Tiaras and Tantrums: It's kind of dessert. With this instant black sesame paste powder, i can simply add in water and get a delicious black sesame paste (dessert)!

Napaboaniya: Yes! Cheap too. Oops...U must eat more black sesame then. ;)

tigerfish: The cheapest i can get from dessert stalls is $1.20...With the instant one, just ~ $0.40!

Sue: Yes, maybe u can try it? :)

Indrani: Yup, u're welcome.

julie: Yeah!

This dessert is our favourite. I prefer fresh than instant.

I usually go for fa-sang-woo after my dim sum lunch but I spotted the instant black sesame paste while strolling in the mall. Tried it the same nite but it was too dilute for my taste.

I'm back to making the nutty dessert since it's more accessible than sesame, here in Europe.

I'm from Hong Kong and there's this classic brand calld Torto that tastes good. Very fragrant, smooth and not too swet.

I only found out recently black sesame is healthy - reduces hairloss and retains hair colour - prevents whitening.
