Times are bad now...and this is clearly reflected in the business of many pasar malam (a collection of temporary stalls located in neighbourhood, selling food; clothes; toys; accessories; and etc.) stalls which i visited yesterday. Although it is school holidays now, there was no crowd at most stalls yesterday.
Here are some pics taken. ;)

aiyoh looks really quiet for a pasar malam!
ReplyDeleteI think people get sian too, all the pasar malams are almost the same everytime :(
really 冷冷清清 ...
ReplyDeletePeople are keeping their money for a rainy day. You heard MM, we will take at least 3 years to get out of this recession if we are lucky. Unlucky, it will be 6 years. :(
ReplyDeleteI prefer the pasar malam in Msia. More varieties of stalls. They even sell vegetables and fish. I went to Vivo City yesterday. It was packed with people. Really confused! :(
ReplyDeleteI love "pasar malam " its also in The Netherlands and i'am also going there :))
ReplyDeleteIn the Philippines, we have the same event called "Tiangge",where you can buy stuff for a very cheap price and also a chance to sell your homemade stuff.

ReplyDeleteSame is the scene here!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice place where you can find a lot of interesting things to buy. I hope that the sales will pick up soon for the sake of the sellers.
ReplyDeleteTo think all these pictures were taken on a weekend where shoppers mostly flock a store. Hard times, but this too shall pass.

We have that kind of market here too, like a Swap Meet. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteWe have that kind here in the Philippines too. It's a lot cheaper from the regular store. :D have a great week Dora!
ReplyDeletePeople mostly go to the pasar malam for the food, as most items being sold there can be easily found at the neighbourhood shops.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about our pasar malam or whatever sale..the business is slow..by the way Thanks for the visit and have a nice day.
