CNY Special - VIII

For today's CNY Special (VIII edition) writeup, I will present some new snacks and drinks which I have bought for CNY celebration this year.

1. Brown Sugar Sweet Potato

They're very sweet since the ingredients consist of sweet potato, maltose and brown sugar!

2. Cheese Corn Sticks

Produced in Indonesia, this is a newly launched snack in Singapore. Unlike most cheese flavoured snacks, this corn snack is not so salty. There are 3 flavours, namely Roasted Corn, Cheese and Chocolate. Bought the cheese flavour ones since I like savoury snacks.

3. Mango Nastar Rolls

Have not tried these yet. Unlike the pineapple nastar rolls, these are new to many people. For those who like mangoes, these will certainly delight them!

4. Roasted Sunflower Kernel

Produced in Thailand, there are 3 flavours, namely Original, Seaweed and Thai Style. As I like spicy snacks, I bought the Thai Style flavour ones which contain anchovy.

5. Apple & Jasmine / Pear & Osmanthus Drinks

These are not so sweet drinks and they taste just right. There are 2 flavours, namely Apple & Jasmine and Pear & Osmanthus. Recommendation: Apple & Jasmine drink.

p/s: This is the last edition of my CNY Special series. Hope you like all the 8 writeups and wish you a Happy Lunar New Year. :)

unique. I have not seen these snacks in the supermarket.

I was too busy this year and did not shop for CNY snacks. My son did the shopping. And of course he bought his favourites. :)

All the snacks we see in the USA are crispy, salty, and fatty. In any or all combination of all three...

The snacks are certainly attractive in Singapore. And interesting tasting, in my mind anyhow!

I love jasmine. Do you like ginger? I love candied ginger that has a spicy bite to it. I get these ginger chews, too, that wrapped with inner rice paper which you can eat. They're hard to find here.

Happy Ruby Tuesday to you in Singapore!
