Wedding Banquet @ LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant

Today is my friend, Mrs Pek's wedding and we were invited to her lunch banquet at LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant. This is my first time dining at a vegetarian restaurant and I was so excited about it.

Here are the pictures of the dishes we had just now:

LingZhi Combination Platter

Braised Shark's Fin Melon with Lily Bulb & Golden Mushroom

Japanese Style Mashed Beancurd with Salad Sauce

Braised Vegetarian Delight wrapped in Beancurd Skin

Sauteed Monkey Head Mushrooms with Dried Chili

Sweet and Sour Vegetarian Fish

Braised Ee Fu Noodles

Chilled Honeydew and Sago Cream

The dishes which I like are the LingZhi Combination Platter, Japanese Style Mashed Beancurd with Salad Sauce and Sauteed Monkey Head Mushrooms with Dried Chili. They're really very yummy! :D

The food looks yummy. But I'm curious: why does vegetarian food have to look like "flesh"? Wouldn't this put off someone who is passionate about not eating meat?
