Soon Kueh

Instead of using bamboo shoot (笋) as filling, the Soon Kueh (笋粿) prepared nowadays is made of chopped turnip (沙葛) strips. Other ingredients include chopped carrot and black fungus strips, mushrooms and dried shrimps.

The Soon Kueh goes well with tangerine sauce!

Bamboo shoot or chopped turnip...I like both :)

Tangerine sauce - that's quite new to me. Usually we pair with sweet sauce
