CNY Special - V

Yesterday was the 1st day of Chinese New Year and it's our traditional practice in my family to have vegetarian meal for breakfast.

Here're what we had:

Dishes

1. Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Fish

2. Stir Fried Pea Shoots (豆苗) with King Oysters (from Mycofarm)

3. Braised Vegetarian Meat

4. Fried Vegetarian Bee Hoon

5. Braised Mixed Vegetables [Vegetarian Chap Chai (Chap Chye)]

Besides these, we also had dessert - Cheng Tng (Dessert soup containing gingko nuts, lotus seeds, white fungus, dried lily bulbs, dried longans and red dates).

Happy New Year.

The food looks GREAT. I'm a vegetarian all the time, not just New Year's breakfast. ;-)

Very nice spread of vegetarian dishes! It's a good idea to have vegetarian food. Maybe I should take up the practice too.
