Ang Paus (Sweet Red Buns)

Home-made Ang Paus

My chef made these ang paus (sweet red* buns; 包) with wheat flour, glutinous rice flour, yeast, rice wine biscuit (酒饼) and sugar. [*They're not exactly red, but pink.]

Home-made Ang Pau

Such buns are also available in markets but no rice wine biscuit is added:

It takes but a pale pink to qualify for Ruby Tuesday! Sweet buns like this are not seen in the Northeast US, but these would sell well here, to have with your morning coffee...

You made me crave something sweet - they look healthier then any sweets I have around!

Well, Dora, I think I'd like some of these. Do we have them for desert or for breakfast?
